PLANS for two new houses at Callow End, near Malvern, are due to be decided by district councillors next week.
The application, made by Ruth and Bryan Haines and Hilary Roberts, is for a site on Beauchamp Lane in the village.
The application had drawn comments, both pro and anti, from local residents, and Malvern Hills District Council planning officers are recommending refusal.
They say it goes against national guidelines, which discourages development in isolated rural areas. The site and access is also affected by flooding, and the proposal will also have an adverse impact on a nearby listed building.
The plan is on the agenda of the council's northern area development management committee, which meets at the Council Chamber, Avenue Road, Malvern, on Wednesday, April 2, at 6pm.
