SPEND an evening with the man who is regarded as the world authority on Worcester porcelain.

Antiques Roadshow personality and Royal Worcester Porcelain maestro Henry Sandon is inviting an audience to join him at Worcester's Huntingdon Hall on Thursday, April 17.

From 7pm to 7.45pm he will happily value people’s cherished antiques and from 8pm the venue will screen a video of his appearance on his Is Your Life with Michael Aspel.

Following the interval, Henry will share some of his favourite Antiques Roadshow and Worcester stories before fielding questions from the assembled crowd.

He has had a great love for ceramics since his early days as an archaeologist and has a wide knowledge of pottery and porcelain of all periods and countries.

Having penned several books dealing with Worcester and other porcelains, he also lectures frequently on the subject.

In 2000, Henry was voted Antiques Personality of the Year by readers of BBC Homes and Antiques magazine.

Tickets are £12.50 (concessions £10) and Henry is donating all ticket money from the evening to Worcester Live, who run the Swan Theatre and Huntingdon Hall.
