Series to bring country music to new audiences

AMERICANA, bluegrass and country will be on tap in a pub this month.

Upton's Ye Olde Anchor Inn has teamed up with online country music radio station to host Country at the Anchor as part of an ongoing series to bring live country music to new audiences in the High Street watering hole.

The first instalment on Saturday, March 22 finds Merseyside-based trio the Good Intentions will be providing the entertainment.’s Martyn Williams, who will be hosting the night, said: “I am delighted to be working with Ye Olde Anchor Inn to bring some great country music artists to Upton upon Severn.

"I think the mixture of country music and the fabulous atmosphere within this venue will be something unique and different for music lovers to enjoy.”

The show starts at 8pm and tickets are £10.
