A FUNDRAISING campaign has been launched to raise £1,628 to buy a special bike for a Worcestershire schoolboy.
Six-year-old Haydn Moor from Hanley Swan suffers from muscular dystrophy, autism and a number of other health problems and needs a special tricycle to help strengthen his muscles.
The Inner Wheel club of Malvern have launched a fundraising campaign to raise the cash needed to buy Haydn the special Tomcat Trike, which will help build his leg muscles and let him have fun with his friends. The tricycle will also be fitted with a special control device that will allow Haydn's parents to make sure he is safe.
Tomcat recently assessed Haydn's needs and have invited him and his family to visit their factory in Gloucester on Thursday, March 6, where they will meet the Duke of Kent as well as seeing how the tricycles are made.
Members of the Inner Wheel group along with Malvern Rotary Club will be collecting for the campaign outside Waitrose in Edith Walk throughout the day on Saturday, March 15.
