HORSE riders will now be saddling up in a new location after a riding stables went on the move.

Walnut Equestrian Centre can now be found at Cowshill Farm, Wheatley Lane, Upton, after spending seven years on Marlbrook Farm at Castlemorton.

Originally established as Walnut Riding Stables on the Blackmore Park Estate, Malvern, in 1984 by Jane Jones and her late husband Terry, the business centred around livery and teaching a few novice riders.

The family-run centre has gone on to branch out into breeding and has established its own Pony Club Centre where children who cannot afford their own ponies are able to take part in Pony Club events and earn certificates for their riding and horsemanship.

Mrs Jones said: "The excellent standard of teaching and training has continued to this new location along with the Pony Club Centre courses and events.

"The course held during February half-term was extremely successful, with five Pony Club horsemanship badges being achieved over the week."

She added: "The facilities at Cowshill farm are excellent and we are thoroughly grateful for the help and support that Mark Wilesmith has given us.

"We are also extremely grateful to everyone that helped us in the transition of moving and to those who have continued to ride with us despite the disruption over the last months. We are excited about the future and we are looking forward to the year ahead."

Training is available for all riders from beginner to advanced level.
