MALVERN'S legendary composer Sir Edward Elgar is sporting a brand new look to promote an upcoming fundraising ball.

Trilby hats, slick moustaches and sharp, pinstripe suits will be the order of the day at a 'Gangsters and Molls' ball being organised by Malvern Round Table.

Taking place on Saturday, March 29 at Malvern College, the dance will be raising money to support Malvern Hills Food Bank.

As well as a three-course meal there will be live music from local band The Magoos, a casino and a raffle.

Malvern Round Table chairman Nigel Harte said: "Round Table is all about putting together fun events, but while remembering the support we can offer to the community.

"The food bank is totally volunteer-led, providing fast, tangible relief for those who have come on hard times."

Malvern Round Table is planning to provide stock for the food bank as well as a new internal reception area to provide the charity with a long-term benefit.

Food bank trustee Mike Hayes said he is "very grateful" for Round Table's support.

Tickets for the ball cost £50, available by emailing malvernroundtable@gmail.com.
