IT WILL be a nailbiting night for a teenage folk trio who are set to find out whether they have scooped a prestigious award.
Granny's Attic have been nominated for the Young Folk Award at the Radio 2 Folk Awards being held at the Royal Albert Hall tomorrow night (Wednesday).
Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne, George Sansome and Lewis Wood, who met at Bishop Perowne CofE Performing Arts College, are one of four bands to be nominated for the award.
They are up against competition from Hattie Briggs, Gentlemen of Few and The Mischa Macpherson Trio.
The trio, who formed in 2009 and take their name from a stall at Claines Church fete, will be in London for the awards.
Granny's Attic were selected after attending a gruelling performance weekend in Kendal, Cumbria where they were pitted against ten other bands for a place on the shortlist.
