PRIMARY school youngsters have been learning to play the cornet.
Class two pupils from Pendock Primary School, near Staunton, found out about the instrument from Worcestershire Youth Music through the Play2Learn scheme.
The government scheme aims to give every child in school a chance to play an instrument.
The children enjoyed 15 lessons and could take the cornet home to practise before putting on a performance of ensemble playing and duets for parents and school members.
Parent Sarah Rowe said: "Play2Learn was clearly a very valuable experience for the children.
"As well as learning an instrument, they worked on other important skills such as listening, concentrating and working together.
"My daughter loved it!"
