MALVERN Town Council has agreed to fund signs announcing the town's Fairtrade status in the approaches to the town. Members agreed to back a motion proposed by Cllr Caroline Bovey calling for the signs to be attached to the existing town signs. "Malvern has been a Fairtrade town since October 2003 and it is something which is widely supported and of which we should be proud," said Coun Bovey. The Fairtrade group will be encouraged to apply to the council for a grant.
