EXPLORE the festivals and special days which happen around the world each February during a week of 'Celebrations'.

The series of events Worcestershire County Museum at Hartlebury Castle runs from Tuesday to Friday, February 18-21 and includes everything from South American carnivals to the Chinese New Year between 10.30am and 4pm.

Youngsters can get stuck in to a range of art and craft activities such as making vibrant carnival headdresses and masks, designing firework pictures and making Year of the Horse cards, lucky red packets and paper lanterns.

The county museum's manager, Rachel Robinson, said: “It’s going to be four fun-packed days at the museum with exciting things to make and do and a chance to learn about celebrations in other countries around the world.”

Children can also follow a trail around the museum and discover more than 1,000 years of history including toys from the past, historic room sets and beautiful Gypsy caravans.

Entry is £5 for adults, children/concessions £2.50 or a family ticket for £13 and an additional £1 per child for a day's activities.
