A schoolboy from Malvern is thrilled to have received an offer from the University of Oxford.
Gordon Templeton, from Malvern, is one of 14 teenagers from Hereford Sixth Form College to have been offered one of the sought-after places on a degree course at Oxbridge.
Gordon joined the College from the Chase Technology College and now hopes to read Computer Science at Keble College, Oxford.
He said, “I chose to come to Hereford Sixth Form College as it’s the best in the area for Oxbridge entrants.
"It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”
This year, seven of the College's pupils have been accepted to Cambridge and seven to Oxford.
Students with Oxbridge potential are encouraged to attend conferences, debates, specialist workshops and summer schools and to develop their interests and extend their studies beyond the classroom.
