ONE of Worcestershire's leading physiotherapists Jenny Smith, who re-invigorated some of the county's top sportsmen in a long career, is retiring. Ms Smith worked as Worcestershire County Cricket Club's physio in the early 1990's and later opened her own practice in Worcester Road, Malvern Link, where she built an outstanding reputation.

But the good news is that although Ms Smith has decided to retire, the practice she founded is remaining open. It is being transferred to her longstanding colleague and friend Sarah Collier-Smith. " I have worked with Sarah for more than 20 years and I know I am leaving my patients in good hands," said Ms Smith.

Mrs Collier-Smith has built her own practice, Select Physio, in Worcester over the last 17 years from Lyppard Grange Medical centre and opened at the March Hare Health and Fitness complex in Broughton Hackett in 2011.She has a team of highly experienced physiotherapists working with her, including Sue Bratton, who also runs Pilates classes around Worcester, and Hayley Walker, who also teaches yoga from the practice. Jane Rees and Vicky Baker join the team in January.

As well as at Malvern Link, patients can be seen at Broughton Hackett, Lyppard Grange Medical Centre and Grey Gables Surgery in Inkberrow.
