AN inquest into the death of a pensioner who died in mysterious circumstances has been opened and adjourned.
Monica O'Neill was found dead at her home in Eston Avenue, Malvern, on Tuesday, January 21.
Police were called to the house where the 73-year-old lived with her husband on the Tuesday to discover her dead.
A man was arrested at the time but later released without charge.
The mother-of-three died as a result of blunt head injuries. A police investigation is continuing into the cause of her death.
The inquest was adjourned for a date to be fixed.
