YOUNG dinosaur enthusiasts can learn about the prehistoric monsters at St John’s Library next month.

Children aged between three and nine are invited to help hunt down an ancient creature at the free Family Fun Time session at the library in Glebe Close between 10am and midday on Saturday, February 8.

Library manager Paul Etheridge said: "Following the recent wet weather, this is an exciting opportunity for youngsters to explore the lives of these fascinating prehistoric creatures and a great chance to learn something new.”

Youngsters can take part in a creature hunt, learn about savage meat-eaters such as Tyrannosaurus Rex and armoured vegetarians like Stegosaurus and Triceratops and create pictures of ancient beasts and fierce finger puppets.

The event run by Worcestershire County Council will also include other arts and crafts activities as well as fun facts, a quiz and model making.
