A MAN was left with facial injuries after he was assaulted while collecting his son from school.

The incident is believed to be part of a long-running dispute and it happened in Yates Hay Road, Malvern, at about 3.40pm on Tuesday as the man and his child were walking home when a couple in a silver/grey people carrier pulled up.

The male got out and began threatening the man before punching him in the face.

A 35-year-old Malvern man has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and was released on police bail pending further inquiries.

PC Frances Thorpe of Malvern police said: “It is believed the people involved knew each other and the incident was part of a long-running dispute.

“However, we are very keen to talk to anyone who was in the Yates Hay Road area of Malvern around the time when this assault took place.”
