THREE more flood warnings have been removed from the River Severn as water levels begin to recede.
But the river remains under flood alert meaning flooding is possible and to be prepared.
Flood warnings for the River Severn at Pitchcroft, Diglis, Hanley Castle and Saxons Lode and East Waterside, Upton-upon-Severn have now been removed.
Two flood warnings still remain in place for Court Meadow, Kempsey and Callow End and Hanley Road, Upton-upon-Severn.
Yesterday, Bewdley Gauge was 3.45 metres and rising slowly and a peak level of between 3.45 and 3.60 metres was expected to occur by yesterday evening.
However, the Worcester Gauge was 4.65 metres and falling slowly after peaking at 4.96 metres at 2am on Friday.
River levels at Diglis Gauge, Kempsey Yacht Gauge, Saxons Lode Gauge are all falling slowly after also peaking on Friday.
After this morning’s cold and frosty start, the wind is expected to increase from the west bringing patchy drizzle this afternoon and persistent rain this evening with a maximum temperature of 8C.
