A FOOD festival heralds a new-look Malvern Spring Gardening Show this year.

The horticultural extravazanga attracts more than 90,000 visitors to the Three Counties showground each May and this year is changing its name.

The 2014 show is to be renamed RHS Malvern, solidifying links between the Three Counties Agricultural Society and the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).

A food and drink pavilion will be filled with a variety of food producers and chefs, including BBC Saturday Kitchen’s James Martin.

Alongside this will be a food court offering a range of food and drink from regional, national and international producers.

RHS Malvern is the first big gardening show of the season and over the past few years has become renowned for showcasing the hottest new trends in gardening.

Another new feature will be a section called Get Going, Get Growing to encouraging people to grow their own plants and vegetables.

Among those on the line-up are Blue Peter Gardener Chris Collins, who will be doing workshops for children, and BBC Gardeners’ World presenter Carol Klein.
