A MAN threw a bottle of water at a taxi after he was refused a lift by the driver.
The cab driver, from a Worcester-based firm, was filling his car with petrol at the Texaco garage at the junction of Worcester Road and Spring Lane in Malvern Link at about 1.35am on Sunday morning when he was approached by a young man.
The man asked for a lift but the driver explained he was not allowed to pick up passengers in the Malvern area.
The man became abusive, and when the driver was driving away, the man threw a water bottle at the cab, scratching the door and windscreen.
The man is described as aged 22 or 23, 5ft 7in tall and thin. He was wearing a blue shirt and dark blue jeans.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting reference number 97S/221213.
