Council backs grant

First published in News

THE Malvern Cube is set to apply to Malvern Town Council for a £6,500 grant to pay for new curtains and tracks.

Coun Julian l’Anson said at the council’s December meeting the Cube wants the curtains to divide up the hall for various activities, and make the building more attractive for potential hirers.

He recommended the Cube is asked to submit a formal application for the grant.

But Coun Adrian Ward said: “We’ve already given a very substantial grant to this organisation, and we really do need to consider the amount of grants that we are paying out.”

However, members voted to approve coun l’Anson’s motion.
