A TEENAGER is preparing to shave off her locks to raise money for a cancer charity.
Antonia Law, of Elgar Avenue, Malvern, has a target of collecting £150 in sponsorship for Cancer Research by New Year’s Eve.
The 15-year-old will undergo the drastic haircut at Studio K Hair, Malvern, who will also make a £100 donation to the cause if Antonia’s target is reached.
Antonia’s mother Shayne Bateman said: “We know lots of people that have been affected by cancer so that’s why we chose the charity.
“We have family and friends that have recovered from the disease, and others who have passed away.
“Antonia’s great-nan passed away, and her nan passed away from cancer before she was born.
“I’m really proud of her for doing it. A lot of people wouldn’t be brave enough to shave off their hair.”
Kylie Cottrell, manager of Studio K, said: “We are more than happy to facilitate Antonia and be a part of this.”
