A MAN has published a book of children’s stories based on cats his family has owned.
John Staley, of St Ann’s Road, Malvern, first penned the stories to read to his grandchildren, and has now had them published by Aspect Design of Malvern.
The book, Three Cat Tales, tells the stories of Juniper, the snuggling cat; Morrisand, the vomiting cat, and Ferdi, the sleeping cat.
He said: “Two were cats we owned in Malvern and the other was a cat we had when we lived in India.”
Mr Staley, in his mid-70s, said: “I had written stories years ago when our children were young and these were written for our grandchildren.”
The book has been illustrated by Liz O’Sullivan, who lives in Tewkesbury. He said: “I was delighted with her pictures.”
The book costs £6 from Aspect, Newtown Road; Malvern Book Co-op, St Ann’s Road; Ledbury Books and Maps, High Street, Ledbury.
