EVEN though Christmas is the most expensive time of year for many people, families in Malvern have again supported those less fortunate over the festive period.
Donations from traders and collections at Malvern’s Christmas lights switch-on have been totted up to an impressive total of just over £1,000.
The money, which also includes donations from an Autumn in Malvern concert at Tewkesbury Abbey, is being donated to Malvern Special Families – mayor of Malvern Julian Roskams’ chosen charity.
Councillor Roskams said: “I would like to thank all those who contributed for their generosity during the Christmas festivities period.”
Malvern Special Families supports children and young people with special needs and disabilities.
