POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was robbed by two teenage girls in Malvern.

The woman was walking through an alley between Cales Avenue and Leigh Sinton Road when she was approached by the youths at around 1.30pm on Saturday, 7 December.

They grabbed hold of her and demanded she hand over her wallet, which contained around £80. The pair then took the wallet and ran off. The woman was not injured in the incident.

The two girls are described as being aged 14 to 15, around 5ft 4ins tall and of a slim build. One is described as having long blonde hair and she was wearing a white top, dark trousers and ballet pumps. The second girl is described has having brown hair which was tied up and she was wearing white trainers, a dark top, dark leggings and fluorescent yellow gloves.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the pair in the area around the time of the offence, or know who they may be from the description given. Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting reference 390S 071213. A teenage girl arrested in connection with the offence has been released on police bail while officers continue their inquiries.
