On the run for charity
2:00pm Sunday 20th October 2013 in News
DENTIST Karen Sutton is putting her best foot forward for Community Action Malvern and District by running a half-marathon on Sunday.
Dr Sutton, who is co-owner of the Beacon DentalCare clinic in Malvern Link, is taking part in the Great Birmingham Run, covering 13.1 miles within the city centre.
She said she was supporting Community Action because of all the good work that it does within the community.
She said: “This charity is very valuable. They provide transport for elderly and disabled people to go to hospital, doctors and dentist appointments and get their shopping.
“My clients at Beacon DentalCare find the Sunday Tea Club, which gives lonely older people company at the weekend, to be a real boon.”
Anyone who wants to support Dr Sutton can pop into the clinic at 5 Pickersleigh Road or the Community Action office in Belle Vue Terrace to make a donation. To contribute online, go to justgiving.com/ communityactionmd or text KRUN20 followed by the amount to 70070.
