Plans for 95 homes are to be decided
5:00pm Sunday 13th October 2013 in News
PLANS for up to 95 houses just across the river Severn from Upton will be going before planners next week.
Developer Chapman, Taylor and Taylor has applied for permission to build up to 25 homes on land off Ryall Road, Holly Green.
And Tingdene Marinas has put in for permission to create up to 70 houses on land to the north-east of Upton Marina, off the A4104.
Both application have drawn numerous objections from local residents, and are on the agenda at Wednesday’s meeting of Malvern Hills District Council’s southern area development management committee.
Officers are recommending the Ryall Road application is approved, saying the benefits of the proposed development would significantly outweigh the adverse impact.
But Tingdene’s application should be refused because the proposed access off the A4104 will have a “severe impact” on road safety.
The meeting is at the council chamber in Malvern, starting at 7pm.
