Make an effort to quit smoking in Stoptober
6:50pm Monday 7th October 2013 in News
PEOPLE are being encouraged to take up the Stoptober challenge this month.
The 28-day national stop smoking challenge started on Tuesday and Councillor Marcus Hart, Worcestershire County Council’s cabinet Member for health and wellbeing – who is also the chairman of Worcestershire Tobacco Control Alliance – wants smokers to sign up.
Coun Hart said: “Quitting smoking is easier with expert support and Stoptober is the perfect time to do this. Campaigns such as this, along with the support provided by our stop smoking services, play a huge role in helping people to stop. In Worcestershire, we would like every smoker to consider making an attempt to quit.”
