1:00pm Monday 7th October 2013 in News
WORK to improve two railway stations in Worcester and Malvern is set to be finished by Christmas.
Both Foregate Street station in Worcester and Malvern Link station are currently undergoing major facelifts.
There will be new entrance canopies, surfacing and internal cladding at Foregate Street and a new booking office, waiting room, access ramp and car park remodelling at Malvern Link.
In Worcester, overnight work still to take place includes new floor tiles being laid and the window above the ticket office being bricked in.
New double-decker cycle racks will be installed for cycles to be kept under cover near platform 2.
And Malvern Link station will see further internal work taking place in both buildings.
The upgrades are intended to reinforce the Malvern Link station as a gateway to Malvern and as a commuter hub to key destinations throughout Britain.
