First festival a delight for pub

THE owners of a country pub which held its first beer festival at the weekend say they were delighted with the response.
The event was held at the Red Lion, in Stiffords Bridge, on Saturday and Sunday, when beer lovers were able to enjoy a selection of ales and ciders.
Local brewers such as Wye Valley and Malvern Hills provided some of the beers, while others came from further afield, including one from the Brains brewery in Cardiff.
And when it came to cider, one of the choices could hardly be more local, as it was provided by Knights Cider, a mere stone’s throw from the pub.
Harry Lannie, whose parents Kim and Andy are the licensees, said: “We were all delighted with how popular it was. We had a lot more people than expected.”
