Court checks if driver was told to retake test
4:40pm Tuesday 17th September 2013 in News
A DRIVER stands accused of several driving offences, including driving while banned.
Michael Rourke, aged 45, of William Tennant Way, Upton- upon-Severn, appeared before magistrates in Worcester on Wednesday to face two charges of driving while disqualified in Malvern on July 23 and August 13, and two charges of driving without insurance on each of those days.
He is also charged with obstructing a constable in the execution of his duty on August 13.
The case was adjourned until Friday, September 20, for a ‘memorandum of conviction’ to be obtained. This is to establish whether or not Rourke was instructed to take a driving retest in 1995.
