Identical twins in court for affray
9:20am Wednesday 4th September 2013 in News
IDENTICAL twins have appeared in court – both charged with affray following an incident at a pub.
Brothers Michael and Samuel Cooper, both aged 20 and of Rhydd Road, Guarlford, Malvern, appeared before magistrates in Worcester on Tuesday.
The twins stand accused of affray at the Hunters Inn, Longdon, on April 14.
Affray refers to using or threatening unlawful violence towards other persons which would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for their personal safety.
During the incident the brothers are alleged to have assaulted several people.
Neither brother indicated a plea at the short hearing and the matter was considered so serious that it was committed to Worcester Crown Court.
The next hearing was set for the crown court on November 5. Their bail was extended on condition they do not contact prosecution witnesses and do not attend the Hunters Inn.
