A DEVELOPER building a new retirement community in Malvern opened its doors to offer visitors a first glimpse of the scheme.
McCarthy and Stone is converting the former Malvern Hills District Council Treasurer’s Site, on the corner of Church Street and Victoria Road, into 54 assisted living apartments and communal facilities for the over 70s.
It bought the site from the council for £2 million back in July 2011. LNow the developer has welcomed visitors to have a look at site’s new show complex.
There was an opportunity to chat with sales consultants and mingle with a complimentary glass of bubbly in the development’s communal lounge.
Gill Sabin, McCarthy and Stone’s regional sales manager, said: “We are really delighted Cartwright Court received such a warm welcome from the many visitors who came to take a look around throughout the course of the event.
“Everything we do is built around a belief that later life can be rich, rewarding and fulfilling, and at this event, we hope we were able to show our guests just how easy it could be to enjoy a more low maintenance and relaxing pace of life.”
One and two-bedroom apartments are on offer at the development with prices from £199,950.
