DELIGHTS from the county will be lining up alongside the likes of the Rolling Stones and the Arctic Monkeys this weekend at the Glastonbury Festival.

However, Worcestershire will be represented at the event, which runs from today until Sunday, by not only musical delights.

As the county’s latest musical export, Peace, who formed while studying at Worcester Sixth Form College, hit the John Peel Stage at the Somerset festival on Friday, campers could be enjoying a bottle of Malvern’s own Friday Beer at the Land&Sky campsite.

Bottles of Friday Gold ale and Pinnacle bitter produced by the company, based in Malvern, will be on sale to festival goers in the luxury camping area.

“This is a big privilege for us,” said Gerald Williams, marketing director at Friday Beer.

“The Glastonbury Festival is all about fun, creativity and connection, and these values are critical to how we make Friday Beer.

“We hope that enjoying our beer will enrich the luxury experience campers will already be getting at the Land&Sky site.

“After just two years in business it’s a real endorsement of our products to be selected for the hilltop Sky Bar at Land&Sky campsite.”

The festival at Worthy Farm, Somerset, will be headlined by the Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys and Mumford and Sons.
