- SPRING may have sprung just days ago but snow has hit Worcestershire once again.
- Roads have been closed already on high ground.
- More snow is expected as the Met Office predicts another 20-40 cm of snow in places, with drifting and blizzard conditions due to the strong to gale force southeasterly winds.

WORCESTERSHIRE County Council's gritting fleet is heading out onto the roads again later as rain and snow showers continue.
Rain through the afternoon is predicted to be heavy at times, with the possibility of sleet or snow on higher ground.
The heavy rain will continue overnight, turning to sleet or snow as road surface temperatures are expected to plunge below freezing.
Between 3-6cm of snow are possible, with up to 10cm in the north of the county.
Further outbreaks of sleet and snow are expected throughout Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
Road surface temperatures will again fall below zero overnight, with the likelihood of icy patches forming.
The county council's gritting fleet will be going out onto the roads from 6.30pm today to treat the worst areas.
The fleet will then remain on standby, with crews ready to go out again at short notice, while the weather is monitored and road inspections carried out through the night to determine whether any further treatment is required.
Jon Fraser, Worcestershire County Council's Highways Manager, said: "We're in for a spell of snow, slush and water on the roads, and whilst our teams will be treating areas as required over the weekend, we do ask drivers to remember that grit isn't a miracle solution and care is still needed when driving to minimise risks for yourselves and others on the roads."

WORCESTER is braced for heavy snow tomorrow morning which is expected to fall from the early hours.
The Met Office is predicting heavy snow from 3am to 6am when it will ease off but continue to fall throughout the day.
Light snow is expected from 9am and will fall all day and into the evening.
It could even continue into the early hours of Sunday morning.
Despite temparatures hitting no higher than freezing, the wind chill will make it feel more like -5 in some places.

At lower levels, there is a chance that parts of the north Midlands, north east Wales and north west England may see 10-15 cm of snow.
Further snow is also forecast throughout the weekend in Worcestershire.

The A449 Wells Road was closed due to snow and a broken down vehicle at the B4209 Hanley Road, near to The Cottage in the Wood Hotel.
It is now re-open.

Worcestershire County Council is reporting that the Chawson Community First School in Wych Road, Droitwich, is closed to Year's 2 and 3, as there is no heating.
The Reception class and Year's 1 and 4 are still to go into school.
