Cold puts people off doing Harlem shake

SUPPORTERS of a community garden were disappointed more people did not turn out to support a fancy-dress Harlem Shake.

Cold weather on Sunday did not put off a few hardy souls though who gathered to do the Harlem Shake for an internet video.

But Cat Goodwin, of the Wilderness Regeneration Group, which created the Elgar Avenue garden, was disappointed only half a dozen people turned up.

She said: “It was very cold and it started snowing, so I think that is what kept people away.”

However, she got some footage and they have put it online on YouTube at youtube.com/watch?v=kP 7x13tppRU.

She said: “Maybe we’ll do it again when the weather’s better.”
