THE beers were flowing at Westminster as three Worcestershire MPs shared a taste of the county.

Ales from the Teme Vallery Brewery in Knightwick and St George’s Brewery, in Callow End, are available at the Strangers’ Bar inside the House of Commons.

As part of an attempt to promote regional breweries, Commons bosses have allowed them to be on sale until stocks run out.

T’Other, from the Knightwick micro-brewery and Friar Tuck, created in Callow End, tickled the tastebuds of Worcester MP Robin Walker, Mid-Worcestershire’s Peter Luff and Harriett Baldwin, who represents West Worcestershire.

Mrs Baldwin said: “I was pleased when Peter and Robin agreed to join me to sample these excellent local beers.

“I don’t normally venture into the bar much myself, but it was a pleasure to share a swift half with my colleagues after a raucous Prime Minister’s Questions.

“The county has a great heritage for producing hops and it is wonderful to be able to promote a beer from my local brewery and share the taste of Worcestershire with colleagues from across the land.”
