POLICE have pledged to crack down on speeding traffic in the area.
West Mercia chief superintendent Rod Reynolds said the force had recently bought six new speed guns to be used by local policing teams in the Malvern area.
"We are quite happy for our local police teams to carry out some speed enforcement," he said.
"They will be doing it, but it will be selective and it will be community driven."
Inspector Clive Griffiths, of Malvern police, said speeding was a common concern for residents.
"Whenever we ask the public what they would like improved, one of the things that comes up every time is reducing speeding," he said.
