Choir to raise the roof
A CHOIR of nearly 40 singers has been recruited to raise the roof at two Malvern churches in the run-up to Easter.
They will be performing six movements of Mozart’s Requiem, interspersed with narrative about Christ’s crucifixion. The services will be taking place at Holy Trinity Church, in Link Top, at 10.30am on Sunday, March 17, and then at St James, in West Malvern, at 6.30pm on Sunday, March 24.
They will be very much a family affair.
The Rev David Nichol, vicar of both churches, has devised the service and his son Tom is taking up the conductor’s baton.
Holy Trinity organist and choirmaster, Charles Pavey, will provide the musical accompaniment.
