THREE youths have been bailed after being charged with manslaughter.

The three males, two of them aged 17 and the other aged 16, were bailed yesterday at Redditch Magistrates Court after they were charged with the manslaughter of Nigel Shakespeare at Redditch on Sunday (24 February).

Mr Shakespeare, aged 50, died after being taken to hospital with head injuries following an incident in Sillins Avenue, on Sunday at about 12.25am. He was walking home with his partner from the Kings Arms pub when it happened.

The youths, who are all from Redditch, were released on bail by the court to live at addresses outside the area and with other strict conditions, including a curfew. They will next appear at Redditch Youth Court on Thursday, April 25, when they will face crown court committal proceedings.

Four more.
don't hang them anyway.

Won't bring the victim back, or act as a deterrent. Leave them to rot in prison - if they're guilty - by all means, but the death penalty is wrong.
