Pupils at Dyson Perrins Academy in Malvern practising for the world record bid. 06463801.
WORCESTERSHIRE pupils made all the right moves as they took part in a sign language world record attempt.
Children from Dyson Perrins CE Academy, Yates Hay Road, Malvern, took part in a bid by charity SignHealth to break the record for the most people signing and singing a song simultaneously.
More than 135,000 children from 1,200 schools in the UK and overseas are believed to have taken part in the annual fund-raising Sing2Sign event, putting it on course to break the record set last year.
SignHealth chief executive Steve Powell thanked the Dyson Perrins pupils for taking part, saying that they had all been rewarded with a “secret code” giving them access to a host of online activities and competitions.
There was a suggested donation of £1 for each person taking part and proceeds will be used to help SignHealth’s work to improve the mental and physical health and well-being of deaf people.
