Firefighters tackle fast food fire
FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a small fire in a fast food restaurant this afternoon.
Two crews attended the incident at the McDonald's restaurant in Malvern Retail Park, Townsend Way at about 4.25pm to deal with a fire behind a deep fat fryer.
Staff had evacuated all customers before the crews arrived and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using one hose reel and a dry powder extinguisher.
No injuries were reported and the crews remain at the scene.
