 A CLIMBER was flown to hospital after falling in a quarry at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to the quarry on the Malvern Hills, above Westminster Bank in West Malvern, at about 4.40pm on Sunday after a man in his 40s was reported to have fallen about 15 feet.

A land ambulance was sent out as well as the air ambulance from Strensham, which landed in the grounds of the Elim College.

The man, who was suffering from a cut to his head and was also complaining of back pain, was flown to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

His injuries were not lifethreatening.
