THE magic and mystery of fairytales will be providing inspiration for this year's welldressing event, which has the theme Once Upon A Time....
The theme was chosen at a meeting held on Monday at Lyttelton Well by Malvern Spa Association.
The association has been holding the well-dressing every spring since 1998. Recent years have seen some 40 of the springs, wells and other water features around the hills being decorated.
The event takes part over the May Day weekend, and welldressers compete for gold, silver and bronze awards in categories for adults and children, with a special chairman’s cup also awarded.
Many of the wells and springs have their regular dressers who return year after year to decorate them, but there are still some available which are suitable for children to work on, said Mr Shorstone. E-mail welldressing@malvernspa.org.uk.
