Job centre move

PLANS to relocate a job centre into a library have been given the green light.

Worcestershire County Council’s planning committee on Tuesday unanimously approved the scheme to move Malvern’s Job Centre out of its current premises in Portland Road and into the library in Graham Road.

The centre will share space with the Worcestershire Hub on the lower ground floor, with the library on the ground floor. The cafe and gallery on the lower ground floor will remain where it is.

The council says there will be no reduction of the book collection or computers.
