Work is pivotal moment for firm

A NEW reception centre at QinetiQ’s Malvern site is evidence of the company’s commitment to the town, said MP Harriett Baldwin when she officially opened the building.

QinetiQ is spending £40 million on the site to replace post-war buildings.

The company has moved the main entrance and reception to allow the sale of part of the site for employment and housing.

Mrs Baldwin said: “I am pleased to be able to take part in the ceremony to mark another chapter in the life of this nationallyimportant defence and research establishment.

“QinetiQ is a valued local employer and this site improvement work is yet more proof of the company’s long-term ambition to invest and grow with the brilliant brains of Malvern.”

Adam Palser, QinetiQ managing director of Technical Information Services, said: “The opening of the new reception and entrance is a pivotal moment for QinetiQ in Malvern as we continue to develop the site.

“These essential changes to the site now offer us flexibility to help meet the future demands of the company as it continues to grow.

“We remain committed to the area and are keen to play our part in making Malvern a recognised centre of excellence and attracting other businesses and employment to the region.”
