Dead baby named

 AN EIGHT-week-old baby from Malvern who died suddenly has been named.

Leah Elkins, of Sherrards Green Road, was flown to Worcestershire Royal Hospital on Wednesday, February 23, after she stopped breathing.

She later died.

An inquest into the infant’s death was opened at Worcestershire Coroner’s Court on Monday. The cause is not yet known.

Officers from West Mercia Police are currently supporting medical investigators looking into the child’s death.
