Our pancake race certainly won’t be flat

MALVERN Rotary Club’s sixth annual fund-raising pancake race is promising fun for all ages.

As well as the main event, which will see teams of four compete in fancy dress in Priory Park, a special toddlers’ race is also being held.

Teams are asked to raise sponsorship and can donate 50 per cent of what they collect to their own choice of charity, with the other 50 per cent for local Rotary causes and the club’s End Polio Now campaign.

Teams entered directly by charities can keep all the cash they raise.

The fun takes place on Tuesday, February 19, with the toddlers’ race starting at 11.30am and the main event from 12.30-2pm.

Malvern Rotary spokesman Sandy Gibson said there was already a lot of interest.

“There are already some new faces and five charity teams are expected,” he said.

Entry forms are available from Malvern Splash, Malvern Tourist Information Centre, Malvern Library or by calling 01684 575879.
