Car wing mirror broken

A PUB manager has been ordered to pay out more than £400 after failing to stop when she knocked a wing mirror off a car.
The owner of the damaged car, which was parked in Pickersleigh Road, Malvern, saw Gemma Allcott slow down in her vehicle after the collision happened May 29, before driving off. Herbinder Rahl, prosecuting at Worcester Magistrates Court, said the victim reported the crash to police, who traced the vehicle to the 22-year-old.
She was interviewed and admitted colliding with the parked car, and told officers she panicked.
Allcott, of Clayfield Drive, Malvern, pleaded guilty to one charge of driving without due care and attention, one charge of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and one charge of failing to report an accident.
Nick Roberts, defending, said his client was fully insured and had no reason not to stop. He said she was going through a difficult time, having split up with the father of her two-yearold child and had been prescribed anti-depressants.
District Judge Nigel Cadbury fined her £235 for failing to stop, and £115 for driving without due care, but imposed no penalty for failing to report.
Allcott’s licence was also endorsed with five penalty points and he ordered her to pay costs of £60 and a victim surcharge of £15.
