THIS is the scene when a woman had a lucky escape after her car overturned into a ditch near Worcester earlier this morning.

The incident happened at about 8.50am when the woman was travelling on Laugherne Bank, Martley Road, Wichenford in her Daewoo.

She escaped without any injuries and the police, fire service and ambulance crews attended the scene.

It's a tight corner, she was probably not driving to the conditions, but it looks like a fairly slow speed impact. Glad she's ok and hope she learns to take it a little easy in icy conditions from now on.

I bet those people in that house are bored of cars in their ditch and smashing into their outbuildings. It's not uncommon.

I hope this isn't a result of any failings by the highways department, i.e. not gritting the road properly or at all.
