COLOURFUL: Mick Gale’s garden was turned into Santa’s garden
THE organiser of a Christmas lights display in Worcester has thanked everyone who braved the elements to visit.
This year Mick Gale’s garden, Christine Avenue, Rushwick, near Worcester, which was turned into Santa’s garden over the festive season, above, raised £300 for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
Mr Gale said: “A big thank you to all family, friends and neighbours and all the people who came to visit us this year braving the wet, windy nights and for all the kind donations we received.
"Many thanks to all who came once again and we look forward to seeing you all again in December 2013.”

I always feel that although some think that this is commercialism at Christmas, it certainly helps me to think back to my lovely days as a child when we had one present but had our stockings hung up which contained fruit and a few sweets, if you were lucky perhaps a chocolate bar. And we were allowed to get up early to tuck into the fruit and sweets.
Yes Christmas says different things to different people, I feel that it's a time for people just to be nice to one another.
