A MAN has been arrested in connection with a series of sexual assaults in Worcestershire.

Police are appealing for potential victims to come forward after three women were targeted over the past week.

At about 10pm on Sunday, a woman walking along Waterside in Upton was followed and propositioned by a man who made sexual remarks. He then exposed himself to her.

On Tuesday at about 11pm, a student walking home from the University of Worcester was followed by a man, who stopped her and made sexual remarks, and then loitered outside her house before wandering off.

Today at the Maggs Day Centre, a woman was inappropriately touched by a man.

On each occasion, the offender was white, ginger, about 30-years-old, and wearing a beige coat.

Following the incident at the Maggs, a man in his 30s was arrested in Worcester remains in custody at the city’s police station.

Insp Janet Heritage said: “I am worried that other people may have been approached by him - for example, we have witnesses to say the night he was in Upton town centre he was behaving oddly, especially in local pubs.

“I would like to appeal to anyone has experienced any worrying behaviour in recent days by a man matching the description given, to contact the police straight away.”
